Our Pastors

Reverend Peter Mun, English Ministry (EM) Pastor
Master of Divinity in Professional Ministries, Liberty Theological Seminary;
Bachelor of Arts in Social Religion, Liberty University
Pastor Peter grew up in the DMV area and attended Global Mission Church (GMC) as a child. In college, he gave his life to Jesus Christ and he was totally transformed. He started studying the Bible and attended meetings with his college group at Higher Connection Church (An English Ministry within GMC). He eventually became a small group leader and soon after received a call into pastoral ministry. In 2008, he served as a pastoral assistant at Higher Connection Church. In 2011, he and his wife went to Korea to serve on a church planting team. In 2016, they returned to the DMV area where he served as an apprentice with the SBCV (Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia) and Potomac Baptist Church (Sterling, VA). He then served as the English Ministry Pastor at Washington Onnuri Community Church (Vienna, VA). In September 2022, he and his family attended the EM service at GMC and they felt an overwhelming love for their home church. He now has the incredible privilege and honor to serve as the English Ministry Pastor at his childhood "home church" Global Mission Church.

Pastor Ken Kim, Intern Pastor
Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling, Liberty Theological Seminary;
Master of Education in Counseling and Development, George Mason University
Pastor Ken grew up in Northern Virginia until he relocated to Maryland and made Global Mission Church (GMC) his home three years ago. Despite having attending church all his life, he had fully decided to follow Jesus during a summer retreat where he stayed up all night his sophomore year in high school. He began to serve where he could, which led him into youth ministry for 4 years with two different churches. It was this love for students that inspired him to become a school counselor. While faithfully serving the youth, he felt the call to pastoral ministry which led him into seminary, and he became a pastoral intern at the church he attended. But after he graduated, he began to feel a burden for the hearts and mental health of others. This began the transition away from being a school counselor and he became a Licensed Graduated Professional Counselor (LGPC) which he uses to work as a therapist. He hopes that he can utilize his skills to draw others closer to God emotionally, mentally, and spiritually as a pastoral intern at Global Mission Church’s English Ministry.
